[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]A private Airbus A-320 aircraft encountered a bird strike during landing at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, causing an engine fire.
The pilot alerted the control tower, and the plane’s engine caught fire upon landing. A swift response was initiated, and a technical team assessed the aircraft for damage.

Between January and June 2023, 61 planes, both foreign and domestic, suffered bird strikes, with Karachi Airport having the highest number (19), followed by Lahore (17), Islamabad (5), Quetta (4), Multan (2), and Sukkur and Sialkot (1 each).
