Plane Engine Catches Fire After Bird Strike

The pilot alerted the control tower, and the plane’s engine caught fire upon landing. A swift response was initiated, and a technical team assessed the aircraft for damage.

Between January and June 2023, 61 planes, both foreign and domestic, suffered bird strikes, with Karachi Airport having the highest number (19), followed by Lahore (17), Islamabad (5), Quetta (4), Multan (2), and Sukkur and Sialkot (1 each).

These incidents pose safety concerns and financial losses for airlines due to grounded planes for assessment and repairs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
