PEMRA addresses complaints over Ayesha Omar’s dating show ‘Lazawaal Ishq’

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued a clarification after receiving multiple complaints regarding Pakistan’s first Urdu-language reality dating show, Lazawaal Ishq (Eternal Love), hosted by Ayesha Omar.

In a statement on X, PEMRA confirmed it had received several complaints about the show but clarified that it does not fall under its jurisdiction since it is streamed via social media and not licensed TV channels.

Adapted from the Turkish series Aşk Adasi, the show features four men and four women living together in a luxury villa for 100 episodes filled with challenges, twists, and romance. Marketed as Pakistan’s answer to The Bachelor and Love Island, it promises high drama and entertainment.

Earlier, Ayesha Omar teased the project with a glamorous video shot on a yacht, calling it “unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.” She described Lazawaal Ishq as a journey of finding eternal love, filmed against the backdrop of Istanbul’s Bosphorus.

Known for her versatility and charm, Ayesha Omar has already established herself through hit sitcoms like Bulbulay and youth shows such as Hot Chocolate and Rhythm. With Lazawaal Ishq, she now aims to bring a new dimension to Pakistan’s reality TV landscape

Recently, a buzz was on trend on social media that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik officially dating.
