PCB Announces Saim Ayub’s Injury Recovery Timeline

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provided an update on Saim Ayub’s injury and recovery timeline.

The young opener sustained a right ankle fracture while fielding on the first day of the second Test against South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town. As per the PCB, he is sidelined from competitive cricket for up to six weeks. This injury is a setback for Pakistan, as Saim’s dynamic batting has been vital to their top order.

MRI Confirms the Injury

An MRI scan conducted on Friday confirmed the fracture. Medical staff immobilized the injury with an Ankle Medical Moon Boot to aid recovery. Saim will not participate further in the ongoing Test but remains with the squad for support. He is set to return to Pakistan with the team after the match concludes.
