The main highway connecting Parachinar to Tall has been blocked for 142 days, causing severe hardship for thousands of people who are now facing shortages of food, medical supplies, and transportation.
Social activist Haji Ali Jawad reported that the closure has disrupted the lives of 1,500 students and about 2,000 overseas Pakistanis, while fuel prices have surged to Rs. 1,200 per liter due to the scarcity.

The Transport Association confirmed that public transport has been halted, making it extremely difficult for residents to travel.
Tribal elder Nazeer Ahmed expressed his concern over the ongoing situation, labeling the prolonged road closure as unfortunate, particularly after the peace agreement. He urged the government to prioritize the safety of stranded residents and reopen the vital route without delay.
