Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Is Scheduled To Travel To China From June 4th To 8th

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official trip to China from June 4th to 8th, 2024, aiming to bolster the enduring relationship between the two countries. This visit comes in response to invitations from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, encompassing visits to Beijing, Xi’an, and Shenzhen, as outlined by the Foreign Office.

In Beijing, Prime Minister Shehbaz will engage in discussions with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, along with meetings with Mr. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and other government officials. Notably, he will also convene with corporate leaders from key sectors such as oil and gas, energy, ICT, and emerging technologies.

Additionally, in Shenzhen, he plans to address the China-Pakistan Business Forum and tour Economic and Agricultural Zones, fostering business exchanges and investments between both nations.

The visit underscores the robust Pakistan-China friendship, characterized by frequent high-level engagements and dialogue. Discussions during the trip will focus on strengthening the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, enhancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, boosting trade and investment, and fostering collaboration across various domains including security, defense, energy, space, science, technology, education, and cultural exchanges. This visit is poised to shape the future trajectory of the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.
