On August 14, a 45-year-old man named Muhammad Arif Ali caused a major disruption on the flight by making false claims about having explosives in his backpack. This alarming threat led to the flight’s return to Sydney and subsequent arrest of the individual.

The incident quickly gained notoriety as videos of the man’s actions and statements circulated widely on social media, drawing significant criticism from viewers. In the videos, he can be seen praying and discussing religious beliefs. The man, who was once a Pakistani model and actor, had a background in the entertainment industry. He appeared in the popular Pakistani song “Preeto” by Abrar-ul-Haq and was also part of the sitcom “Kollege Jeans” by Jawad Bashir.

Interestingly, his professional journey took a turn from the entertainment world to architecture. His LinkedIn profile revealed that after graduating from the National College of Arts (NCA) in 2002, he pursued a career in architecture. He worked with various firms in both Karachi and Lahore from 2002 to 2016.
