Pakistan successfully carries out the launch of the Shaheen-II ballistic missile

On Tuesday, Pakistan successfully conducted a training launch of the Shaheen-II, a surface-to-surface ballistic missile. This exercise was aimed at training troops, validating various technical aspects, and assessing the performance of improved sub-systems to enhance accuracy and survivability.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, as well as leading scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. The event marked a significant achievement in Pakistan’s defense capabilities.

During the event, the director general of the Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of the scientists and engineers who were instrumental in achieving this success. He emphasized the importance of such exercises in advancing and sustaining Pakistan’s strategic defense goals, according to the ISPR.

The successful launch received commendations from top government officials, including the president, prime minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the heads of the armed services, who all congratulated the team of scientists and engineers for their remarkable accomplishment.

The Shaheen-II missile is recognized for its precision and advanced technological features, playing a crucial role in Pakistan’s strategic deterrence capabilities. This successful launch highlights Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining a credible and robust defense posture.
