Pakistan struck by twin earthquakes

Two consecutive earthquakes shook the Zhob region of Balochistan early on Monday morning, causing concern among residents but fortunately resulting in no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The first earthquake, registering a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale, struck at a depth of 35 kilometers. Its epicenter was located 106 kilometers south of Zhob. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred 61 kilometers north of Kohlu district at a shallower depth of 10 kilometers.

Less than an hour later, a second tremor measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale hit the same area. This earthquake had a greater depth of 151 kilometers, with its epicenter 79 kilometers south of Zhob. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents to remain vigilant for any aftershocks.
