The meeting took place at the PM House following a fatal attack on a Chinese convoy in Bisham tehsil of Shangla district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which occurred the previous day.

On Tuesday, a suicide bomber targeted the convoy, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including five Chinese nationals. The convoy, en route from Islamabad to Dasu camp, was struck by an explosives-laden vehicle.

Reports indicate that all the deceased Chinese nationals were engineers, while a Pakistani driver also lost his life in the attack.

In response to the bombing, Chinese authorities have urged for a thorough investigation into the incident. The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan issued a statement late Tuesday, expressing urgency for Pakistani authorities to conduct a comprehensive probe, punish the perpetrators severely, and implement effective measures to safeguard the safety of Chinese citizens.

The attack has raised concerns about security in the region, prompting discussions between Pakistani government and military officials regarding appropriate measures to address the situation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
