Beijing called upon Pakistani authorities to investigate the attack, apprehend the perpetrators, and ensure the safety of Chinese nationals and projects. China reiterated its steadfast support for Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

Civil and military officials in the country condemned the attack and extended condolences to the victims’ families. The strategic partnership between China and Pakistan is robust, with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) playing a vital role in Pakistan’s development.

The succession of attacks is perceived as an attempt to disrupt the multi-billion-dollar CPEC project, although the perpetrators are unlikely to succeed in their endeavors.

Ensuring the security of Chinese workers in Pakistan has been a longstanding concern, especially given previous attacks targeting Chinese interests in the country.
