The policy introduces regulations for the satellite industry within the country. It includes the establishment of a National Space Agency, and satellite service providers seeking to offer services must register and obtain a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC).
Collaboratively developed by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication with the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the draft policy has been circulated for feedback among various ministries.
