The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced an extension for biometric verification for Hajj 2026 pilgrims, giving applicants until February 17 to complete the process. The ministry has emphasized that all intending pilgrims must complete their biometric registration within this timeframe to avoid disqualification from the pilgrimage.
A spokesperson from the ministry explained that biometric verification is a mandatory requirement for obtaining a Saudi visa, and pilgrims who fail to fulfill this requirement will not be issued Hajj visas. The ministry also clarified that no further extensions will be granted beyond the revised deadline, stressing the importance of completing the process promptly.
Officials warned that those who do not complete the biometric verification will be barred from performing Hajj 2026, highlighting the critical nature of this step in the visa process. To make the process easier for applicants, the ministry has provided multiple options for completing the verification. Pilgrims can carry out biometric registration from home using the Saudi Visa Bio mobile application. In addition, Tasheer centers across the country will remain operational to assist applicants who prefer in-person support.
Authorities have urged all prospective pilgrims to act without delay, either by visiting the Saudi visa centers in person or by using the digital services available online, to ensure their registration is completed on time. This measure is part of broader efforts to streamline the visa process for Hajj 2026 and ensure that all qualified pilgrims can perform the pilgrimage smoothly.
The ministry reiterated that timely biometric verification is essential for participating in Hajj this year and encouraged all applicants to take advantage of the extended deadline to avoid missing out on this important religious journey. Completion of this step will secure eligibility for the Saudi visa and confirm participation in Hajj 2026.
