Pakistan, GCC, and Saudi Arabia Condemn Netanyahu’s Remarks on Palestinian Statehood
Pakistan strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statement about the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, calling it provocative and irresponsible.
In an official statement, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar criticized Netanyahu’s remarks as a clear violation of international law, UN resolutions, and fundamental justice.
“It is deeply regrettable to distort Saudi Arabia’s position on Palestine,” Dar said, adding that such remarks undermine the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to self-determination.
He urged the global community to denounce such inflammatory rhetoric and hold Israel accountable for its actions. Dar also stressed that Saudi Arabia’s unwavering stance on Palestine must not be weakened.
“Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia,” he declared, reiterating that a free Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders is a fundamental right of the Palestinian people.

“Any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland is unacceptable,” Dar stated, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to working with Saudi Arabia and the international community for a just resolution.
GCC Denounces Netanyahu’s Remarks
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) also condemned Netanyahu’s statements, calling them dangerous and irresponsible.
GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi accused Israel of disregarding international law and UN treaties while violating the sovereignty of states.
He reaffirmed the GCC’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights, emphasizing the importance of a two-state solution with East Jerusalem as the capital of an independent Palestine.
Albudaiwi called on the international community to take a strong stance against Israel’s “aggressive rhetoric,” warning that such statements threaten regional and global stability.
Saudi Arabia Rejects Netanyahu’s Remarks
Saudi Arabia strongly rejected Netanyahu’s comments on the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, condemning them as an attempt to divert attention from Israel’s ongoing military actions.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed the broad rejection of Netanyahu’s remarks by Arab and Islamic nations, reaffirming that Palestine remains a central issue for both the Arab and Islamic world.
Riyadh dismissed Netanyahu’s claims as a distraction from Israel’s actions in Gaza, where ongoing military operations, ethnic cleansing, and destruction have caused immense suffering.
The statement further condemned Israel’s extremist mindset, arguing that it fails to acknowledge Palestinians’ historical, emotional, and legal ties to their land.
“The Palestinian people are not outsiders or migrants who can be expelled at Israel’s discretion,” the statement declared.
Saudi Arabia also blamed extremist elements within Israel for blocking peace efforts, stating that such forces have rejected coexistence and Arab peace initiatives for over 75 years while systematically oppressing Palestinians.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its unwavering support for Palestinian statehood, asserting that Palestinian rights are unshakable and cannot be taken away, no matter how much time passes.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that a lasting resolution can only be achieved through rational dialogue and a commitment to the two-state solution.
These remarks come amid heightened tensions, as Israel continues its military campaign in Gaza, which, according to Saudi Arabia, has devastated the region and left over 160,000 people dead or injured—mostly women and children—with no regard for humanity or moral responsibility.
