Pakistan Discloses Revenue Generated From IT Services Export

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Pakistan’s revenue from providing various IT services to different countries during the initial nine months of the fiscal year 2023-24 amounted to US $2.283 billion, marking a 17.40% increase from the US $1.944 billion earned in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year 2022-23, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

During this timeframe, the export of computer services witnessed a growth of 19.99%, reaching US $1.880 billion compared to US $1.567 billion in the previous year. Specifically, exports of software consultancy services increased by 7.72%, reaching US $617.183 million, while hardware consultancy services surged by 22.07% to US $4.994 million.

However, export of repair and maintenance services declined by 46.41% to US $1.456 million. Conversely, computer software services export grew by 3.64% to US $461.795 million.

The export of information services experienced a significant rise of 88.21%, reaching US $7.340 million. Notably, exports of news agency services soared by 177.31% to US $6.342 million, while other information-related services decreased by 38.13% to US $0.998 million.

Telecommunication services export increased by 5.76% to US $394.800 million. Within this sector, call center services exports surged by 17.93% to US $191.599 million, while other telecommunication services saw a slight decrease of 3.62% to US $203.201 million, according to PBS data.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
