Pakistan Changes Aquad For The Asia Cup 2023

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]COLOMBO – Pakistan’s Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023 squad has seen an alteration with the inclusion of left-handed batsman Saud Shakeel. The 17-member squad will also have right-handed batter Tayyab Tahir as a traveling reserve.

The team comprises: Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Naseem Shah, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Afridi, and Usama Mir. Tayyab Tahir is the designated traveling reserve.

The squad, led by Babar Azam, will reach Multan on Sunday, August 27, and will have a rest day. Players who participated in the Lankan Premier League have been given relaxation by the team management. On Sunday, Babar, Imam-ul-Haq, and Naseem Shah will head to Lahore and join the squad on Monday evening.

Training is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, at the Multan Cricket Stadium, from 1630 to 1930. Before the session commences, the Pakistan captain will hold a pre-series media conference.

Pakistan’s first match in the tournament will be against Nepal in Multan on August 30.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
