Pakistan Brokerage Announces Stock Split, Plans To Build Data Centres

Trust Securities & Brokerage Limited, a leading Pakistan Brokerage, has announced a major restructuring initiative, including a stock split and the creation of a new subsidiary focused on data infrastructure services.

The company notified the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that its Board of Directors approved a plan to subdivide the face value of shares from Rs10 to Re1 each. Under the proposed stock split, shareholders will receive 10 shares for every one share held.

Once approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM), the company’s existing capital of 30 million shares of Rs10 each will be restructured into 300 million shares of Re1 each. Eligible shareholders will receive additional shares proportionally, increasing liquidity and broadening the company’s ownership base.

Alongside the stock split, the Pakistan Brokerage is preparing to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary specializing in data infrastructure. This new unit will operate a full-scale data centre and advanced data warehouse platform, combining physical facilities with specialized software and database architecture.

The data centre will provide power, cooling, security, and hardware, ensuring reliable data storage and processing. The data warehouse system will support analytics, business intelligence, and reporting, enabling businesses to make data-driven decisions.

Together, these operations will offer a comprehensive solution for managing and utilizing data assets, reflecting Trust Securities’ commitment to expanding its technology footprint.

Founded in 1993, Trust Securities holds a Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange and is also a member of the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange. The company’s initiatives demonstrate how Pakistan Brokerage firms are diversifying operations beyond traditional trading services.
