Pakistan Braces for Intense Cold Wave Starting Tomorrow

Weather Updates PK has issued a forecast indicating that a formidable and intense cold wave is poised to affect a substantial part of the country, commencing tomorrow. The private weather forecasting company anticipates the intrusion of cold Siberian winds and the peak of the winter season from Karachi to Kashmir in the upcoming days.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), in its forecast yesterday, predicted predominantly cold and cloudy weather in the upper and western regions of the country. According to the PMD, temperatures in the northern areas are projected to experience a significant drop.

Additionally, the Met Department has pointed towards the likelihood of rainfall in northern Balochistan and western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, coupled with snowfall over mountainous regions.

Moreover, there is a forecast for light rain in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during the evening/night hours. Conversely, the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh are expected to be enveloped by dense smog/fog.
