Fact Check False News, Propaganda Against Pakistan Army Denied

The Pakistan Army has strongly rejected recent fake news and disinformation being spread on social media since Friday. Officials confirmed that the claims being circulated are false and baseless.

The misleading content includes false visuals and reports about the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force. According to authorities, this is part of a propaganda campaign aimed at spreading confusion and undermining public trust in the military.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued an official press release on August 14, which clearly outlined the military honours conferred on Pakistan’s armed forces. The report shared by Samaa TV was based directly on that ISPR statement.

Officials warned that any other version of events, including altered visuals or misleading claims, is fake news. They stated such propaganda is intended to damage the image of the Pakistan Army and spread anti-state narratives.

Security experts believe these coordinated attempts are being made to create unrest among the public. They urged citizens to rely only on verified sources and to avoid sharing unconfirmed social media content.

The Army remains committed to defending the country against all threats—external and internal. It continues to serve the nation with dedication, discipline, and professionalism.

Authorities emphasized that action will be taken against those involved in spreading false information about the Army and other military institutions. They called on media outlets and social media users to act responsibly and verify facts before publishing or forwarding content.

Pakistan’s armed forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, have consistently played a vital role in national defence and crisis response. Misleading content against them not only disrespects their sacrifices but also harms national unity.

The public is urged to stay vigilant and support efforts to counter fake news campaigns targeting the military.
