Pakistan Set to Face South Africa in Second Test in Cape Town
Cape Town – Pakistan is gearing up for the second Test of the two-match series against South Africa, which begins today, Friday, at 1:30 pm. Led by Shan Masood, Pakistan is looking to bounce back and level the series, with South Africa currently leading 1-0 after their thrilling two-wicket victory in the first Test.
Reports suggest that pacer Aamir Jamal, who faced criticism for his performance in the first Test, is likely to be dropped from the playing XI. He is expected to be replaced by Mir Hamza.

In the first Test, South Africa sealed the win on December 29 with a remarkable 51-run unbeaten partnership between Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen, securing the series lead. This victory also saw South Africa qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship, which will be held next year at Lord’s.
South Africa resumed their second innings on 27 for three, needing 121 runs to win. Despite a strong fight from Pakistan, who were within striking distance when Mohammad Abbas, returning to the team after three years, claimed two wickets in the 32nd over, leaving the hosts needing 49 more runs to win.
Abbas finished with impressive figures of 6 for 54 in the second innings, while Khurram Shahzad and Naseem Shah picked up a wicket each. South Africa’s captain Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram added a valuable 43-run partnership for the fourth wicket to steer their side to victory.
