Opposition Calls For Strong Warning To India Amid Escalating Tensions

Opposition Leader Omar Ayub on Saturday called on the Pakistani government to issue a strong and explicit warning to India in the face of rising cross-border tensions. Speaking to reporters outside an anti-terrorism court in Lahore, Ayub emphasized that Pakistan would not hesitate to retaliate forcefully against any military provocation from India. “If Indian warships come to attack, we will destroy them and kill them,” he asserted.

Ayub also referenced former prime minister Imran Khan’s prior stance on national defense, stating, “Imran Khan had made it clear to India that we would strike first and talk later.” His remarks echoed calls for a proactive security policy in light of escalating regional strains.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Aliya Hamza reinforced the party’s hardline posture, claiming that only Imran Khan has consistently delivered a firm response to India. Addressing the media, she also voiced concerns about political crackdowns inside the country, citing recent raids on PTI leaders’ homes and the continued detention of party figures.

Aliya urged for national unity amid external threats and internal instability, arguing that political prisoners should be released to foster stability. She emphasized that strengthening Pakistan internally is crucial, especially as tensions at the border persist.
