Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has reached the top of Forbes’ real-time billionaire list, surpassing Mukesh Ambani of India, with a net worth of $119 billion.

Huang, 61, has seen a staggering 2280% increase in his wealth over the past five years, reflecting Nvidia’s rapid growth. The company, now the world’s most valuable public entity, has achieved a market capitalization of $3.33 trillion, thanks to its dominance in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector, according to India’s Financial Express.

Huang co-founded Nvidia in 1993 and has been the company’s CEO and president since its inception. Under his leadership, Nvidia’s market capitalization has surged by 177%.

On June 18, Nvidia’s stock saw a significant rise of over 3%, boosting Huang’s net worth by more than $4 billion. Earlier in 2024, Forbes estimated Huang’s net worth at $77 billion. However, the recent increase in Nvidia’s market value has propelled him up the rankings, placing him just behind Steve Ballmer, the former Microsoft CEO.

Huang plans to sell 600,000 shares of Nvidia before March 2025, as revealed in a recent securities filing. This sale represents a small portion of his 3% stake in the company.

Huang’s extraordinary rise—from the 546th to the 76th position in the billionaire rankings over the past year—highlights the significant impact of the AI revolution on his wealth.
