A deadly attack occurred in Balochistan’s Loralai district on Thursday evening, resulting in the brutal killing of nine passengers. Armed men stopped two passenger buses traveling from Quetta to Punjab near the border between Zhob and Loralai districts, in the Sur-Dakai area.
At around 5:30 pm, the assailants intercepted the buses and forced passengers to disembark. They checked identity cards carefully and abducted twelve individuals. After some time, three of the abducted passengers were released, but nine were executed in cold blood.
Following the attack, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) registered a case at the Zhob police station. The First Information Report (FIR) includes charges of murder and terrorism. The investigation is being led by CTD Balochistan, based on a complaint from the Levies SHO.
Security forces launched an overnight search operation and found the bodies of the victims in the mountainous Doob area of Zhob. The bodies were first taken to Zhob district hospital for medico-legal procedures. On Friday morning, the victims’ bodies were transported to their hometowns in Punjab.
