Newlywed Couple Commits Suicide Over Lack of Money to Afford Honeymoon Trip

A newlywed couple tragically ended their lives by lying on railway tracks near Bhai Wala crossing in Faisalabad

Identified as Sajid and Razia, the couple had only been married for three months. According to police, they deliberately positioned themselves in front of the Badar Express train.

Rescue officials quickly responded to the scene, transferring their bodies to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for further procedures.

Residents of Adeel Town, Sajid worked at a local power loom factory. Initial findings indicate that Sajid had asked his brother, Zahid, for money to go on a honeymoon. When Zahid advised him to wait a few days, Sajid reportedly became emotionally distressed.

Police disclosed that Sajid called Zahid from the tracks before the incident. Despite Zahid’s attempts to dissuade him, Sajid ended the call and lay down with his wife.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the complete circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
