New Zealand names ODI Squad for series against Pakistan

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]New Zealand has named a 15-man squad for the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan. Tom Latham will captain the Black Caps, with Kane Williamson currently competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Similarly, a number of first-team players, including Tim Southee, Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner, and Trent Boult, are unavailable due to IPL commitments.

Despite the absences, Jimmy Neesham, Tom Blundell, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, and Ish Sodhi have been named to New Zealand’s squad.

Former Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq will also be on the New Zealand management team. New Zealand will fully utilise Saqlain’s expertise of the conditions and the Pakistan national team as a bowling consultant.

The first match of the five-match T20I series will be played on 14 April by New Zealand on their tour of the country. The ODI series will begin on April 26 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and conclude on May 7 at National Bank Arena in Karachi.
