New Monsoon System Forecasted to Impact Sindh Starting August 16

A new monsoon system is set to enter eastern Sindh on August 16, bringing the possibility of thunderstorms and rain to Karachi and several rural districts, according to a weather alert from the Meteorological Department.

The system is expected to influence weather conditions in Karachi from August 16 to 19, with thunderstorms and rain forecasted. Other districts, including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal, are also likely to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms during this time.

Additionally, from August 16 to 19, districts such as Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, and Larkana are anticipated to see thunderstorms and rain.

The Meteorological Department has indicated that Karachi’s weather will remain mostly cloudy, with light rain and drizzle expected over the next three days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels at 67%.
