New Director General of ISI Appointed
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General announced on Monday that Lieutenant General Asim Malik has been appointed as the new Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency. He will officially take on his new role on September 30.

Currently serving as the Adjutant General at GHQ, Lt Gen Malik has an extensive military background. He has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and an Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. Notably, he was awarded the Sword of Honor during his training.
In addition to his field commands, Lt Gen Malik has also served as the Chief Instructor at the National Defense University (NDU) and as an instructor at the Command and Staff College in Quetta. He is a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies and has experience in the Military Operations Directorate.
