[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In a bid to curb mobile phone theft throughout the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have introduced a mobile application named “Find My Cell.” The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ashfaq Anwar, DIG IT Irfan Khan, and SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi launched the app at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
Explaining the app, the CCPO mentioned its function to link local police stations with authorized mobile dealers, discouraging the trade of stolen phones. The CCPO emphasized that mobile dealers would undergo registration, verified by relevant police stations and associations.

A spokesperson informed a local media outlet that registered dealers would maintain a record of phone sellers using a form provided by the police. This information would be uploaded to a database accessible through the Find My Cell app.
