Netflix releases freediving doc trailer as ‘Titan’ search underways.

Netflix members are taking aim at the streaming service for publishing the teaser for The Deepest Breath amid the disappearance of the Titan submarine.

The documentary, which was produced by A24 studio and whose teaser was released on Tuesday, focuses on freediving world record holder Alessia Zecchini.

However, the teaser was released amid frantic search efforts to locate the missing submarine, which went to witness the sinking of the Titanic.

Many subscribers took to social media to criticise the decision to proceed with the trailer debut in the aftermath of the submarine loss.

“The timing of this,” one user commented on Twitter.

“Probably not the best time for this,” said another.

“Wow, epic timing, in a bad way.” “Who decided to put this up?” A third person commented.

Meanwhile, Zecchini set the women’s world record for freediving at 107 metres in early 2023.
