The documentary, which was produced by A24 studio and whose teaser was released on Tuesday, focuses on freediving world record holder Alessia Zecchini.
However, the teaser was released amid frantic search efforts to locate the missing submarine, which went to witness the sinking of the Titanic.
Many subscribers took to social media to criticise the decision to proceed with the trailer debut in the aftermath of the submarine loss.

Meanwhile, Zecchini set the women’s world record for freediving at 107 metres in early 2023.
