The Malangwa-born batter batted unbeaten, hitting three fours and six maximums to help his team qualify for Group A alongside Pakistan and India.

It is worth noting that the Premier Cup featured ten Asian Associate nations and is an important part of the Asian Cricket Council’s new pathway structure.

The competition’s Group 2 includes defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, and the event will be played in the ODI format this time.

Following the format of last year’s competition, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage of the tournament.

However, the mega event’s fate remains uncertain because the BCCI has refused to send the Men in Blue to Pakistan for security reasons and prefers to hold the event in a neutral location.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
