PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif has once again emphasized that her father’s imminent return is not about settling scores with political adversaries but about reuniting with his supporters and revitalizing the nation. Speaking at a public gathering in Thokar Niaz Beg on Thursday, she rallied her supporters to welcome PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan after his self-imposed four-year exile on October 21.
Maryam Sharif highlighted Nawaz Sharif’s previous tenures during which he bolstered the national economy and facilitated progress. She stated that this time, his mission is to demonstrate how to rebuild the economy rather than seeking revenge.
She firmly asserted that her father’s return would not be a vendetta but an effort to bring people together and heal divisions.

She also pointed out that her father had spent more time in exile than in power, reflecting on the period since his controversial removal from office in 2017. According to her, the nation had suffered due to a supposed conspiracy, resulting in soaring inflation and economic deterioration. She contrasted this with the achievements in development and law and order during her father’s government.

She criticized the PTI’s four-year rule from 2018 to 2022, characterizing it as a period of political rivalries rather than serving the people’s interests.
Maryam Sharif underlined that Nawaz Sharif is a native leader who hasn’t been imported from abroad or propelled into politics through foreign funding, alluding to the legal case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

She also highlighted the resilience of the PML-N symbol, the tiger, despite repeated attempts to eliminate it, while those who tried to harm it faded into history.
Maryam Sharif conveyed that the seven years of disappointment among the public are now transforming into hope with Nawaz Sharif’s imminent return, rooted in his track record of initiating developmental eras in the country.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed that Nawaz Sharif would indeed return on October 21, as medical and legal professionals had given their approval. After his arrival, Nawaz Sharif is expected to address a rally at Minar-i-Pakistan and present an economic roadmap to navigate the country out of its current crises.
