Bilawal Expresses Satisfaction As Nawaz Plans To Return Home

PPP Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his party’s satisfaction with the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the country. However, he noted that the PML-N was not adequately preparing for its leader’s homecoming.

Bilawal remarked that former PML-N ministers should be actively celebrating and showing their support for Nawaz Sharif’s return. He made this comment while addressing a news conference in Jacobabad, seemingly taking a dig at his former PPP coalition partner.

He pointed out that former PML-N ministers who had aligned with the PPP were not visible, but he expressed contentment over PML-N leader Khawaja Asif’s earlier news conference in Sialkot, where he discussed Nawaz’s return and the goal of freeing Pakistan from the influence of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) during his fourth term as prime minister.

Bilawal emphasized that Nawaz Sharif’s return should not burden only the Sharif family, and former PML-N ministers should contribute significantly.

During the media interaction, Bilawal clarified that the PPP would not form alliances with PTI or any other party in the upcoming general elections. He emphasized the importance of the PPP’s distinct ideology, manifesto, and role in Pakistan’s development.

Bilawal reiterated his desire for early general elections, believing that elected representatives should promptly serve the country. He stressed that elections were the solution to various problems in the eyes of democratic politicians, and failure to hold them would be a collective responsibility.

Bilawal also mentioned that he did not believe JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is also the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), had advocated against holding the next general elections.

He highlighted that inflation was a significant concern for the people of Pakistan and noted that even the elite class was struggling to cope with the high cost of petrol.
