[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]According to reports, Nawaz Sharif, the former Prime Minister (PM) and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), has received a duplicate Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Punjab.
The announcement comes as the PML-N prepares for intra-party elections.
Nawaz Sharif allegedly paid Rs. 2,990 to the Punjab University for the duplicate degree. At his request, the application was submitted on June 7th.
Sharif received a 340 on his BA degree in 1968, according to records. This comes only days before the PML-N’s intra-party elections, in which Sharif is expected to retain his position as the party’s lifetime leader.

According to reports, he may contemplate returning to Pakistan after the elections.
In addition, a petition may be filed to appeal Sharif’s lifetime disqualification. The Supreme Court dismissed him as Prime Minister in 2017 in a lawsuit involving the ‘Panama Leaks.'[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
