Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to postpone its planned protest in Islamabad on October 4, as the Malaysian prime minister is currently in the capital.
During a press conference, Naqvi emphasized that the Malaysian prime minister’s visit, along with the ongoing SCO summit, should not be disrupted by PTI’s threat to storm Islamabad. He insisted that the prime minister’s protocol would not be compromised, and no rallies would be allowed.

Naqvi questioned the motives behind planning such a protest during a foreign leader’s visit, warning that there would be no leniency for anyone attempting to march to D-Chowk. He also noted that full arrangements had been made to handle any demonstrations.
Additionally, Naqvi mentioned a Saudi delegation’s upcoming visit and said the army had been deployed to ensure security. He added that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had also requested postponement of the protest, and the state was prepared to act if PTI proceeded.
