This remarkable achievement marks her as the first Pakistani woman to reach the summit of Makalu, adding to her impressive record of successfully summiting eleven peaks over 8,000 meters.
According to the Alpine Club of Pakistan, Naila reached the summit on Sunday morning after facing significant challenges during her ascent. The ACP secretary, Karrar Haidri, has called for prayers for Naila’s safe descent back to base camp.

Naila expressed her gratitude for the support and prayers she received, particularly acknowledging the crucial role of Sherpa Gelgen Dai in her success. Her accomplishment of scaling eleven peaks over 8,000 meters in less than three years is a testament to her extraordinary endurance and unwavering determination.
In addition to Mount Makalu, Naila’s mountaineering resume includes being the second Pakistani woman to summit Mount Everest, following in the footsteps of Samina Baig’s historic achievement in 2013.
