Muslims In Pakistan Observe Aitekaf

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]As in other parts of the world, Muslims in Pakistan also practiced Aitekaf during the final 10 days of Ramadan. Aitekaf, rooted in the tradition set by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), entails solitary prayer and reflection to seek the blessings of Allah.

Beginning on the 20th day of Ramadan, men seclude themselves within mosques, while women engage in prayer within their homes. The term “Aitekaf” translates to “devotion to a thing and sticking to it.”

On Sunday, following the Asr prayer, millions of believers commenced their Aitekaf. Mosques nationwide have made special arrangements to accommodate men observing Aitekaf, with some mosques and philanthropists arranging sehri and iftar meals for participants.

In Lahore, hundreds of individuals observed Aitekaf in well-known mosques like Data Sahib Mosque, Badshahi Mosque, and Minhajul Quran Mosque of Tahirul Qadri.

Aitekaf concludes with the sighting of the Shawwal moon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
