Murree sees a surge of tourists for New Year 2025 winter getaways

The first day of 2025 has attracted a large influx of tourists to Murree, eager to usher in the New Year amid snowfall. The sky is covered with dark clouds, setting a scenic winter atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department forecasts light rain and snowfall in Murree and the Galiyat starting this evening, with snow likely to continue until January 6.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has set up 13 facilitation centers to help tourists. Irfan Ali Kathia, the DG of PDMA, has advised travelers to check weather updates before heading to Murree.

The district administration has assured visitors that they will be available to ensure safety and provide guidance throughout the winter season.
