multiple Rockets Fired AT US Embassy In Baghdad

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad, a barrage of rockets targeted the US embassy amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment in Gaza. According to a US official, a multi-rocket attack occurred near Union III and the Baghdad embassy complex.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or damage. The rocket assault took place amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, resulting in numerous casualties since the October 7 attack by the fighter group.

The US embassy stated that “two salvoes of rockets” were fired at the mission compound in the Green Zone around 4:15 am (1:15 am GMT). A US spokesperson indicated that the attacks were likely initiated by Iran-aligned militias. The US urged the government of Iraq to take measures to protect diplomatic and coalition partner personnel and facilities, emphasizing the right to self-defense anywhere in the world.
