Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has announced the celebration of Muhajir Culture Day on December 24, 2024, at the Governor House in Karachi. The event aims to spotlight the cultural heritage of the Muhajir community and their significant contributions to the country’s history.
During a press conference at the party’s Bahadurabad headquarters, MQM Pakistan Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui revealed the date of the celebration. He emphasized the importance of embracing and respecting diverse cultures, stating that Muhajir culture is a national asset.

Dr. Siddiqui was joined by senior MQM leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar and Anees Qaimkhani, both of whom expressed strong support for the event. They highlighted Karachi as a cultural melting pot, where people from various backgrounds come together to celebrate their differences.
The event will not only celebrate the Muhajir community’s legacy but also highlight the importance of “kurta pajama,” a traditional garment representing the culture. Governor Sindh also expressed his support, praising the initiative as a step toward promoting national unity.
