PTI Protest Ends: Capital and Lahore Return to Normalcy, Roads Reopened

The conclusion of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest has restored normalcy in Islamabad and Lahore, with traffic resuming smoothly on major roads and motorways reopening across the region.

Restoration in Islamabad

A large-scale operation late last night in Islamabad led to the dispersal of protesters from key locations, including D-Chowk and Blue Area. Blocked roads and highways have been cleared, and many protesters have returned to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Previously congested areas like the Express Highway, a hotspot for traffic jams during the protests, are now fully functional. Cleaning efforts are underway on Jinnah Avenue, Express Highway, and Srinagar Highway to remove debris left behind by the demonstrations.
