Mobile data services in Quetta have been temporarily halted for 24 hours starting midnight, following a decision by the provincial Home Department to strengthen security and prevent potential unrest.
Officials say the move aims to stop the spread of misinformation amid recent security concerns. The suspension will remain in effect until midnight tonight.
Authorities stated that the step was taken after reviewing the current situation, noting that similar restrictions have previously been imposed in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan during heightened threats.
The measure is part of ongoing efforts to safeguard public safety and maintain peace across the region.
