Pakistan Head Coach Mike Hesson Makes Key Changes to Squad for Bangladesh Series
Newly-appointed Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson has made significant changes to the national squad ahead of the upcoming series against Bangladesh, dropping three players initially selected by the selection committee.
According to sources, the original squad included Abbas Afridi, Sufyan Muqeem, and Haider Ali. However, after a meeting in Islamabad with selectors and bowling coach Aaqib Javed, Hesson decided to make adjustments. Sufyan Muqeem was replaced with Faheem Ashraf, while Haider Ali made way for Hussain Talat.
There were also discussions within the committee about resting Naseem Shah, but Mike Hesson opted to retain Naseem Shah in the final squad and instead dropped Abbas Afridi.
The updated squad will now feature a blend of experience and youth as Pakistan prepares for the home series against Bangladesh under the guidance of their new coaching leadership.
