Dismissing the reports, Ismail clarified that he has currently withdrawn from active politics. In June of this year, he resigned as the General Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh, expressing criticism of PML-N’s economic policies, particularly under the leadership of Ishaq Dar.

Amidst differences with PML-N, Ismail, along with former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and ex-PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, launched a nationwide discourse called “Reimagining Pakistan” to address various neglected issues since the country’s independence. Despite reports suggesting PPP negotiations with Ismail, he refuted these claims, stating that he is currently stepping back from politics and not affiliating with any political party.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
