[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]On Monday, a security forces’ vehicle on Warsak Road in Peshawar was targeted by a blast, resulting in the martyrdom of at least one Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, as confirmed by police and rescue officials.
Warsak Superintendent of Police, Arshad Khan, verified that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED). Additionally, the blast has resulted in injuries to seven FC personnel and three civilians, according to a spokesperson from Rescue 1122.

The injured security personnel were subsequently transported to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), while some of the blast victims were brought to the Lady Reading Hospital, as confirmed by the hospital’s administration.

Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar, in the initial assessment, suggested that the explosion did not appear to be a suicide bombing. Instead, there is a possibility that explosives were planted along the roadside.
The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) teams are currently collecting forensic evidence from the site of the attack, as reported by the CCPO.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
