Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched an initiative to deliver insulin directly to children with type-1 diabetes at their homes. During a health sector meeting on Friday, she announced that special cards would be introduced to ensure these children receive their insulin supplies.
The distribution will be managed by a government-approved company that will adhere to cold chain protocols and other SOPs. The pilot project will initially be rolled out in three districts, including Lahore, with applications available through a dedicated app or helpline.
