A Libyan man, Ameur Al-Mansour Gaddafi, was scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj with a group of pilgrims. However, just before departure, immigration officials at Sebha International Airport in central Libya stopped him due to his last name, “Gaddafi,” which may have triggered concern due to its association with the former Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi.
Despite his repeated pleas, the flight took off without him. While family members and airport staff urged him to accept the situation and leave, he refused, stating, “I will not move from here unless it’s toward Hajj,”

Soon after departure, the plane developed a technical fault in its air conditioning and returned to the airport. Although the crew tried to let Ameur board, the pilot declined since the engines were still running.
In a surprising twist, the aircraft experienced a second malfunction and had to return once again. This time, the captain made a heartfelt announcement: “I swear I won’t fly again unless Amer is with us on this plane,” as reported by Ary News.
The passengers cheered as Ameur was finally allowed to board. A widely shared video captured the emotional moment.
“I only wanted to go to Hajj,” he said later. “And I believed that if it was meant for me, nothing could stop it.”
