LDA Cracks Down on Illegal Properties and Housing Schemes in Lahore
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal commercial properties and unauthorized housing schemes, sealing 95 properties and demolishing multiple illegal structures in its jurisdiction.

Widespread Operation Across Key Zones
The LDA Town Planning Wing launched large-scale enforcement actions in several city areas, including:
- Gulberg
- New Garden Town
- Shadman
- Shah Jamal
- New Muslim Town
- UBD Main Canal Road
- Sabzazar
Key Highlights:
- 95 properties sealed for illegal commercial use and non-payment of conversion fees
- 28 properties sealed in Gulberg and New Garden Town
- 35 properties sealed in Shadman, Shah Jamal, UBD Canal Road, and New Muslim Town
- 32 properties sealed in Sabzazar as part of a revenue recovery initiative
Properties sealed include:
- Private schools
- Clinics
- Restaurants and bakeries
- Grocery stores and shops
- Workshops and offices
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner Asad Uz Zaman.
Illegal Housing Schemes Also Targeted
In a parallel effort, the Directorate of Metropolitan Planning (Zone IV) launched operations against unauthorized housing schemes along:
- Main Ferozepur Road
- Ahlu Road
- Al-Jannat Road
Action Taken Against 14 Unauthorized Schemes:
- Grand Avenue
- Sun City
- New Abadi Kahna
- Rehan Garden
- Shahzad Garden Villas
- Bao Munir Town
- Ahmed City
- Al-Jannat Homes
- New Abadi Shahzada Village
- Nai Abadi Ahlu Jhuggian
- Rizwan Garden
- Malkan Wali Haveli
- Waseem Colony
- Green Valley
LDA teams demolished illegal roads, boundary walls, and sewerage systems, and sealed site offices of these schemes.
The operation was supervised by the Chief Metropolitan Planner and carried out with support from the LDA Enforcement Squad and Punjab Police.

These actions are part of the LDA’s ongoing campaign to ensure compliance with city planning laws and eliminate unauthorized developments that pose threats to urban infrastructure and residents.
