This interaction took place during the open trial of the cipher case inside Adiala jail.
Khan, speaking openly with local media journalists, revealed significant insights into his arrest and the resurgence of Nawaz Sharif. He asserted that the violence on May 9 was part of what he referred to as the ‘London Plan,’ emphasizing that he never received offers for negotiations or any deals. Despite expressing readiness to remain in jail for an extended period, Khan simultaneously projected confidence in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s major victory in the upcoming elections.

In the course of the conversation, the outspoken politician expressed concerns that his opponent might evade participation in the polls due to public sentiment. Khan directed criticism at former Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, attributing his downfall to the ex-military leader and hinting at including General Bajwa and US embassy officials as witnesses in the cipher case.
He claimed that all actions by the former chief were carried out on the orders of Donald Lu and suggested bringing both individuals to court. Imran Khan, who was ousted from the party chairmanship, declared the arrest unconstitutional and deplored the extensive crackdown following the riots. He also alleged that the ‘London Plan’ aimed to bring back Nawaz Sharif and imprison PTI leaders.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
