According to CBD Punjab officials, the newly built lake can store up to five million gallons of rainwater and reaches a depth of 20 feet, enabling it to retain water from two major monsoon spells. This stored water will be repurposed for various developmental and environmental initiatives across the district.

Speaking about the project, Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, highlighted the initiative as a key milestone toward creating a fully eco-friendly urban model. “Our goal is to integrate sustainable and smart solutions into Lahore’s cityscape,” he said.

This innovative rainwater harvesting system reflects a broader commitment to environmentally responsible urban planning and is expected to serve as a model for future projects in other metropolitan areas.
