KP Resumes Work on Rs. 16 Billion Safe City Project

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced plans to resume work on the long-delayed Safe City Project, starting with the first phase in five districts, including Peshawar. According to official documents, the posh area of Hayatabad will be a key focus of this initial phase.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 16 billion and will expand in its second phase to Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan, and Bannu. A detailed plan has been outlined to ensure the project’s successful implementation.

The Safe City Project aims to tackle crime and monitor anti-state elements using advanced technology. It will enhance surveillance and create a backup system for crime records, making it easier to track and identify offenders.
